Last weekend, my mom visited, and she’s not just gorgeous (I mean look at her!), but also the sweetest person. Our time together reminded me of the importance of stepping away from work to refuel. It left me feeling refreshed and ready to create.

Oftentimes, we think that we need this one fancy pen or that one pretty brush to make art. In reality, I prefer to keep things simple, especially when travelling. All I used for this pattern was a standard pencil and a pen.
